Archer C3150 Connecting to NAS Samba over OpenVPN
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Hello All,
First of all, great performance on the TP-Link C3150 router, finally utilizing the full 1 Gb fiber WAN.
However I have a problem accessing my Synology NAS on my LAN over OpenVPN
My OpenVPN is running OK over UDP. I can access other servers over port 80.
However mapping a network share (SAMBA) from Windows 10 or Android Phone over OpenVPN does not work. It can not find the server, even with the W10 firewall disabled.
I assume it is a routing issue or similar.
My OpenVPN network is on 10.3.5.0 and my LAN is on 10.3.4.0
Previously on my old Netgear router I did had OpenVPN running on OpenWRT. No problem connecting to SAMBA share. But obviously with far less performance over LAN-WAN bandwidth.
But the OpenWRT firmware is way more flexible then the simplified OpenVPN configuration that TP-Link offers. That seems to be so simplified that even a monkey can get it running.
Accessing the router over SSH is not working.
Does anybody have any idea to solve this?
Best Regards,
$Bill
