Archer C60 speed issue

Hi,Bought a brand new Archer C60 today. I have a shared internet service with static ip. Everything works fine after having set the router up. However - I can't get speeds over wifi higher than 95 Mbit/s, not even when I do a speed test in the same room where the router is placed. When I connect my laptop directly to cable (not via the router, since it doesn't have gigabit ports) I get somewhere around 470 Mbit/s (I have a 500 Mbit/s connection). Any suggestions on how to improve the speed over wifi? Shouldn't I expect higher speed over wifi with a 500 Mbit/s connection?

When you try to choose a router, please pay attention to the speed of its Ethernet ports, which decide the maximum speed that it can reach.
For example, Archer C60 has a LAN/WAN maximum speeds of 100Mbps, which means that clients connected to it will not get a speed more than 100Mbps.
In your case, it's recommended to exchange a gigabit router with gigabits ports such as Archer C1200, C5, etc.

@tplink maybe is a mktg issue?
On the box appear wifi 5GHz, 2.4GHz, wifi bandwith greater than 400Mb an other, and in smaller case source port only 10/100 Mb.
The same on the link below:

I encountered in the same issue/problem.

Then why the hell it is mentioned as 867 Mbps 5 GHz + 450 Mbps 2.4 GHz in the specifications or over the box or of the tp-link AC1350 Archer c60 ??

I have the same issue with C60 and there is no solution. The 867mbps speed is a deceit and TP link is taking the consumers for a ride.
but any work around in making it to perform better? Only a TP link design or tech support guy should answer.
seriously we should go to consumer court and make them pay. Moreover it's from China!!

Way to necro a thread.
Anyway. The Wi-Fi speeds are correct.
Its just marketing though. They are listing both the ethernet and Wi-Fi speeds. Its in such way, that ordinary folks, just see "XXX Mbps WiFi', and thing "thats fast".
Yea, its fast, but its only between wireless devices. You are still limitted by the WAN ethernet speed.
If you have home smart devices, that work over WiFi, for example Smart TV and are using the router with USB for small NAS, you will do those 300/500/800Mbps over Wi-Fi. But you cant pull that much from the ISP, because the WAN port is only 100Mbps.
Next time, ask the store clerk for assistance or just read the technical specification, instead of only the big letters on the front of the box.
