Archer C7: not showing usb drive

When trying to provide network storage through my C7 (V2, latest firmware), it does not seem to recognize the 128 USB stick (flash drive) in either of the USB ports. Tested it with a 1TB 2.5" USB HDD and it works perfectly well,Is there any way to also make it accept the USB stick?
