AC5400: Cannot access router management console

Model : Archer C5400

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version : 1.0.8 build 20170113 rel. 62479 (5553)

ISP : Starhub

Hello,
Just purchased my new TPL AC5400 router, was very excited to get it up and running.
Connected to modem and followed the configuration steps, all good.
Following the routers auto update recommendations upgraded to firmware 1.0.8 build 20170113 rel. 62479 (5553), my HW ver is 2.0
Changed default PW (as part of the initial config)
Changed routers LAN address to 192.168.10.1 (all my wired network carries static addresses starting with 192.168.10.x)
Added no-ip DDNS
Activated smart connect (all bands carry same SSID)
Defined 3 ports for forwarding (I think TPL uses virtual server as the term)
Connected all other equipment on my wired network to the 4 ports in the back
Restart the router
Wired and wireless have internet access, no problem.
Loading the mgmt console with 192.168.10.1 or tplinkwifi takes 10-15 minutes, once loads, entering my PWD and then ENTER does nothing, cannot access the config land page.
I am able to access the router Tether app with the same login information and interact with the router, no issue there.

Thought I did something wrong, hard reset, did the same steps above again, ending up with the same results even with a single wired client. (tried the hard reset 3 times, same result each time).
I think this firmware is broken, but the router will not allow me to roll back to the version posted on the web site, which is older than the one the auto update suggested.

Very frustrated, $400 router went back to the box, and I'm back with my ASUS till I can resolve this issue.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Alon.

Just out of interest.....do you have another TP-Link device such as an access point plugged in to your network?

If you do, temporarily pull it out and check the management page again.

Bug Fixes for Hardware V2 1.0.9

1. Fixed the bug that NoIP will not update when the WAN IP address changed.
2. Fixed the bug that cannot login the web management page after the upgrade(1.0.8);
3. Fixed the auto reboot issue.

Don't use the 1.09 FW or you will lose access to the web management of the router. If you do update and lose access to the web management then contact support for the beta driver to fix the issue. Beta is watermarked all over the setting pages and waiting for an official release. I am running: 1.0.9 Build 20170406 rel.53986(5553) on a V2 C5400
I see in the release notes: Fixed the bug that cannot login the web management page after the upgrade(1.0.8)

It was a problem in 1.0.8 and I see the original post was before 1.0.9 was released.

AND I can login to my router in Chrome:

No user ID anymore just use my password.

I have the same UI/web management console access issue with C5400 v.1.
Any updates when the firmware fix will be available for it?

no heard of that, but you can disconnect other clients and keep just one then try again.

Everything was tried, multiple sequential reboots, disconnect, wired, wireless, phone clients, Nothing helps.
Contacted tp-link support. They said that so far no firmware upgrade for v1 is expected any time soon and suggested in such case to reset router to factory default. Great :(
Also tech unofficially mentioned that they (tp-link) don't pay much attention to v1 anymore. It became kind of unsupported device. Even better :( :( :(

Kevin, that would be a good but I think unsuccessful try.

The official tp-link support answer (copied and pasted) to my issue,

" As I know, C5400 V1 doesn't have such issue. (V2 does, but we've fixed it)
Here are some suggestions for you to try:
1. Reduce the clients connected to the router (wired and wireless) to 1 device. If possible, remove all the wired connection. (Maybe there's a device which has the same IP address with the router causing the issue)
2. Did you clear the cache of the browser? You may try that too.
3. As I know, there are some apps like Dashlane may block the access, if you do have such application, remove it and try login again."

Well, regardless that I already told them that none of the 1,2, and 3 is applicable to me, they keep repeating the same recommendations (I would guess they are copy and paste them also).
