WA860RE losing connection only with Ethernet cable?

Hello all,
I've had the TL-WA860RE for some time and it worked perfectly. I use it mainly with the Ethernet cable plugged in so that I'd get more reliable and clear Skype calls for my job.
Since today I plugged it in and after a minute or two since connecting, the connection breaks. It doesn't quite disconnect but I cannot access internet, make calls or whatever. I then need to unplug the cable, replug it and then use it for a couple of more minutes before it happens once more. I tried going on the Extender's settings but everything seems in order, I also tried to reset it and re-configure it and it seems to be fine as well. I have no problem when the cable is not used - just when it is plugged.
Any idea what could it be? Is there any information you guys might need as well?
