Unable to see wireless printers using WN823N adaptor

WE have one old XP machine in our office which I wanted to connect to our wireless router, so I bought a WN823N wifi adaptor. I managed to connect ok to router and using internet is fine. However, I do not seem to be able to connect to the wireless printer we use in the office. The XP add printer routines in control panel cannot see the two wireless printers. Does anyone have any advice?
