Model : TL-WR941HP

Hardware Version : 1.0

Firmware Version : TL-WR941HP(UN)_V1_170104

ISP :

I am running the device TL- WR941HP at my apartment for more than 2 months just to extend to range of my current WiFi router. However, it is now evident to me that WR941HP has some issues with range extender specifically while it has performed extraordinarily well as a router. What it does as range extender is it sometime fails to connect to main router even though the Main router is up and running, and after rebooting the WR941HP it begins to work as extender. I suppose this could be an issue with throughput. Along the WR941HP, I tested W841N as extender and it performed so well. I will expect a quick bug fixing release very soon from the Tp link developers for TL-WR941HP.

the device ( WR941HP) drops signal simultaneously (perhaps thoughput issue) when another router is placed nearby it. I am using this router as range extender and have confronted such difficulty. i am running another different router as range extender (Toto Link N300RH) which is working mostly fine. I also think the antenna might struggle to penetrate walls for gaining signals. There must be a software bug. Please fix it in next update.

Are you in Asia?
Channel-Automatic
Enable 20/40 MHz
In WR941HP also automatic.
I am in Asia but channels shouldn't be an issue here I set the specific channel that is non-overlapping (set to 6) and also putting 20/40Mhz as automatic, the problem about dropping signal still persist. the main router is placed in enough distance and WR941HP primarily establishes the connection as extender with lights on RE (range extender). Then it drops the signal in different interval and RE led light starts to blink. Isn't that a issue? Please fix it.

Show the wireless settings TL-WR941HP
Did the setup with quick setup?
Wireless Settings cannot be picked here because WR941HP will not allow to login inside its hardware as the device is configured as Range extender (dhcp is disabled so far).

I have picked up the setting screenshots here for better cooperation:

You try disabled dhcp router and enabled WR941HP.
It is no doubt DHCP disabled while the device working as range extender.
