TL-WN823N keeps disconnecting

I have just fitted a TL-WN823N to my Acer Windows 10 PC (fully updated) and it is disconnecting constantly and even when not disconnected my internet connection keeps timing out.
I am connected to a PlusNet Router (only 6mths old) and have no wifi connection problems with any other device I use on this network.
Signal strength is showing as between 85-90% so is well within range.
Please advise what can be done to sort this out.
