As you're saying router shows 20Mhz still inside and devices are of 40Mhz. However, does this make any signal drop or any throughput issue? I got signal drop with my WR941HP mostly when it is placed next to antoher router. Still don't know why it would happen but supposing that could be relating to unstable buggy firmware.I got similar feedback from customers to those i sold this exact unit. My router can pick the signal when antenna is removed but starts dropping signal simultaneously when antennas are mounted.

Exactly,
On 20 Mhz only device :
Channel Width : Auto --> Signal Full, Throughput issue (only using 20 mhz bandwidth : capped to 72mbps/150mbps/225mbps link)
Channel Width : 40 Mhz --> Signal Drop, Throughput issue (only using 20 mhz bandwidth : capped to 72mbps/150mbps/225mbps)
On 20/40 Mhz device :
Channel Width : Auto --> Signal Full, Throughput issue (only using 20 mhz bandwidth : capped to 72mbps/150mbps/225mbps link)
Channel Width : 40 Mhz --> Signal Full, Throughput Full (full 150mbps/300mbps/450mbps link) but problem with 20 Mhz only device.
I have many TP-Link routers, but only wr941hp have the problem.

We want a more stable firmware which will not have any issue in terms of throughput and my request to developers as I am running this router as range extender please observe problem using as extender.

I'm also having a lot of issues regarding the "N Only" mode and 40hz.
My PC TP linkN adaptor is connecting with only 72mbps but if support 150mbps.
To achieve 150mbps I always need to reboot the 941HP
But overtime it gets back to 72mbps.
Really annoying issue ;(

I'm having the same issues.
Just replaced my old TL-WR941ND for the TL-WR941HP for the signal boost.
The problem now is that some devices keep connecting at lower them max speed.
My PC 150mps adpter is most of the time at 72mbps.
Rebooting the modem fix the issue temporary.
We need a firmware fix for this :(

Thanks for the tips but none of those actually provide usefull information.
The issue is in the firmware or the hardware.
