Hi,
I have recently bought the vdsl version of VR600 from Amazon Italy:
https://www.amazon.it/Archer-VR600-Supporto-Broadcom-Smartphone/dp/B01DW6Z2YM/ref=sr_1_1

In order to successfully import it, I am asked to provide the exact frequency band for the 5GHz (e.g.: 5150 MHz to 5250 MHz ).
I've looked everywhere and can't find this exact detail. It just says "5GHz" in every whitepapar and spec I found.

Can someone please refer me to an official document with this detail?

Thanks

Hi,
thanks for the prompt reply.
This Wikipedia page shows the frequency bands allowed in my country, but it does not tell which bands are supported by the VR600.

thanks, that's what I've found too.
Too bad, I'll need to return it back Amazon.

The VR600 supports frequencies that aren't allowed - I will never get a permit to import it.
I think the VR600 units which are locally are modified by TP LInk to meet the restrictions.

Can you choose country in Wireless Settings or not? Sorry I haven't had this router in front of eyes. Are you from Italy?

no, no, no, you got it all wrong.
This is not a technical issue. The router was shipped from Amazon Italy and is now stuck in customs until I provide the FCC some details about its 5GHz transmission frequencies.

In 5 GHz subband UNII-1 (5150 - 5250 MHz) the channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 are allowed (for indoor use only) in EU countries. In subband UNII-2 (5250 - 5350 MHz) the channels 52, 56, 60 and 64 are allowed, but the AP needs to support DFS/TPC to avoid interference with radars. In subband UNII-2 Extended (5470 - 5725 MHz) the channels 100, 104, 108, 112, 116, 120, 124, 128, 132, 136 and 140 are allowed, also with DFS/TPC only.

See European allocation of frequencies from CEPT, page 125: http://www.erodocdb.dk/docs/doc98/official/pdf/ERCRep025.pdf

The VR600 supports all those legal channels except 140, can't see a violation of FCC rules here.

I would send the FCC guys to the emulator on TP-Link's website: http://www.tp-link.de/resources/simulator/VR600_Emulator/index.htm
