RE 210 Range Extender - Not Powerline?

RE 210 Range Extender - Not Powerline?

Just bought one of these and set it up but am getting the red 'too far from router' light, although I seem to have wi-fi OK where the RE 210 is. Am I right in thinking this is not a Powerline adapter? What I'm looking for is an adapter that will connect to my TP-Link Powerline adapter that's attached to my Airport Extreme and send out an ac wi-fi signal on the lower floor of my house. Any suggestions for products from TP-link?
