wifi not working

has anyone else had this problem? when I put my wifi tp link extender on, all the top three lights flash but the wifi light will never illuminate. It used to work fine. I have tried pressing the wifi button and the reset button. I have been on the utility to try and change the settings but although it sees it visible it doesn't give me any settings options for it.
