Try with a very large file like 5GB, I'm sure you will get dropped. If not please list your exact model and firmware version. I'm using the AD7200 V2 Firmware 2.0.1 Build 20170103 rel.71053(5553).

Never works.. Everyday I am having the same issue.. All of a sudden the internet drops.. I have to wait sometime it comes back or I have to reboot.. Support is a total waste. Spent so many hours debugging etc., nothing happened. Finally they told they will replace the piece even after replacing same issue nothing resolved my old router was way better than this one. What a waste of Money. I lost patience and I stopped contacting support. Now I am looking for Google router after seeing the distance and connectivity in one of my friends house. Stay away from Tplink

Never worked for me. Same issue it drops connection everyday and I have to go back and forth with support finally even they replaced the router. It is the same issue. Another interesting issue is 2.4 GHZ connects but its worse than 5GHZ. No point in contacting the support I am fed up and now looking into the google router which seems to be better. What a waste of Money..

Did it many times with support no use.. Its clearly some defect on their side. Even they replaced my router still the same issue

@Thiago it happened to me as well today. I recently updated the firmware to the latest one and i think that's the problem.

 

Does support provide a list of past firmware to download? is there an "oldversion" page where we can download past firmware since this one is defective?

I am having a similar issue with both wired and wifi connections, starting about a month ago.  Nearly torn all of my hair out trying to isolate but this does not occur on my other wifi router.
