tp link C3150 keeps losing isp settings

Firmware Version : 0.9.1 01 v005f.0 Build 160708 Ref. 35998n
ISP : Virgin media
I just got the new router C3150 and it has lost the isp settings 3 times and it takes 3 to 4 times rebooting it and the virgin media 3 hub to get it back up and running.... never had this trouble with my C9... anyone else experiencing this issue? or is it a isp issue? I have updated the firmware and the virgin media hub 3 is only 3 months old

How do you tell the router lost the ISP settings? Check the virgin media hub with your PC when the router lose internet.
It the hub is ok, the problem is on the router. You may try to reset the router by pressing the reset hole for 10-15 seconds until all lights become flashing.
Even reset can't help, contact TP-Link support for further analyze.

when I looked on the router web ui in the settings everything was back to default settings time was wrong no isp settings just everything zero

You can send it back if there is no device connected to the router, but the issue still happen.
If the issue won't happen if no device connects to the router, I suppose it is a compatibility issue between the router and some other certain device.

what device? how can a device alter the internal settings its quite clear the router lost all the isp settings and time settings etc

Like the modem or the PC/phone connected to the router.
It is hard to say when there is a compatibility issue.
Disconnect all of them then check the situation.

My C3150 has the same issue. Settings would go back to defaults in 2-3weeks.
Had mine serviced. Sucks though that here in the Philippines it takes 2-3 months before I get my router back. I had it for just less than 2 months .
Bad decision switching from DLink to TPLink.
