Hello!

I purchased the TP-Link VR400 modem router today, when i got home i tried port forwarding by following instructions on portfoward.com.

But... when i go online and use a port checker they say the ports are closed??

Is the WAN IP address of the router a public one? If not, you need to do port forwarding on your modem or main router for the tplink router. What goal that you want to achieve with port forwarding? I saw that you have opened many ports, is it some gaming console that you open ports for?

hello, yes my routers wan ip is a public one, due to disconnection issues the online game i play recommended i forward the ports shown in the picture.
but when i do a online port checker it shows them as closed or timed out.

Sometimes the online checker may not be correct. You can do a telnet test on your computer. And you can also set a DMZ host for the gaming console.

telnet WAN IP+port number. You can find it on the Internet.
