Using Access Control to block a host from accessing Internet, but still access the local network

Used Products:

This is the steps you can use to isolate a host from your local network to access the Internet, but remain accessible in the local network (older green UI).

In this particular case TL-WR841N Access Control is used.

First go to Access Control and configure the following:

Go to Access Control/Host and add the host:

In this screenshot the host is with Ip address 10.0.0.6. The goal is this host to have its Internet access denied, but still be able to access the devices in the local network.

Then go for Access Control Rules and add the following rule:

As it can be seen from the screenshot the target is not configured - in this case that meas any target (first screenshot).

No schedule configured, which means: All day/Everyday.

If you want to schedule this rule (to be active not always, but in particular days or hours) just configure the Schedule section attributes.
