I have just installed the Archer C2, but seem to be having an annoying problem.

I access my computers by their hostnames, as it is a lot easier than entering the IP addresses as I am human, however, the new router seems to be unable to process this simple bit of information. I have done a cursory search and have seen some posts that claim tp link routers are incapable of carrying out this basic function that the "free" ones from my last few ISPs have done this as standard?

For example, should I want to access my NAS I have to go to https://192.168.0.110/ rather than just https://mynas/

Can someone confirm this is the case that my router cannot carry out this basic function so I can just return the router? I have also found that when having an ssh session into another computer, it is painfully slow, telnetting into the router itself was a horrible experience in lag, and noting a glaring spelling mistake in the help screen.

tplink router cannot handle hostname. but windows pc supports LLMNR, so you can ping hostname between windows pcs.
