Archer C58 - Parental Control vs TL-PA9020P AV2000

I have an Archer C58 that I have activated parental control on so my son is not online 24/7. I have chosen the kids mac address in the menu and set up a time schedule. I have also checked time settings, and added daylight saving time. So the time settings are correct. The router is located next to my fiberoptics, and one AV2000 is connected to a LAN port and this one is paired with another AV2000 in my kid's room, and then a cat6-cable straight into his onboard network card.
Still, when we pass the times set, he does not loose his internet connection. I have double checked everything including his network settings to make there is no spoofing tricks. What am I missing here? As far as I can figure out, there is no use of ip or mac addresses in the powerline kit.
