NAT boost & CPU usage problem

Model : Archer C1200

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version : 1.1.1 Build 20170706 rel.65715 (EU)

ISP : Internet bandwidth - 250MBps

Hello,

After firmware upgrade to 20170706 rel.65715 (EU) I experience following problems:

1. When "NAT boost" turned on, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & 5GHz) download speed in my LAN drops to 40KB/s (e.g. channel streaming from sat receiver, video streaming from SAMBA, FTP is impossible), but Wi-Fi internet connection is ok (up to 230 Mbps at 5GHz). When function is switched off Wi-Fi download speed in LAN is normal (aprox. 5-7MB/s), but Wi-Fi internet connection drops to 50-70Mbps;
2. CPU usage is very high - from 70% to 100% every time.

Should I downgrade to 160918 firmware or is there another solution?

Best regards and waiting for quick reply,
Andrey Samonov

NAT Boost function is useful when the bandwidth provided by ISP is over 200-300mbps.
Is the Wi-Fi internet connection speed the one on the status page of wireless network connection?

The CPU usage is fine if the router is working normal. Some external usb devices will make the usage go high.

My wireless network connection is from 433Mbps up to 866Mbps depending from distance to the router. My LAN speed is 1Gbps. Nat boost helps me double internet connection speed (up to 250Mbps), but causes problems in my LAN.
I have sat receiver and file server (Win 10) connected to the router by cable (both 1GBps). I can't watch video or TV on my tablet or phone from my file server or receiver because of low speed (less
40KB/s ) if NAT boost enabled.
On old firmware all worked great with NAT boost.

Normally the NAT boost won't affect the Lan speed.
Try to restart the router and Lan clients after NAT boost enabled.
If the issue still exist, contact TP-Link Support at support@tp-link.com for help.
