Archer 2300 use US firmware on CA model

I have noticed that the USA (US) firmware for the Archer 2300 has been updated since the release of the router, but the Canadian version (CA) has not. On the tp-Link site it states to use firmware from own region . Is it safe to use the US firmware on the Canadian version. The new firmware adds homecare and I few other features that I would like to see.Thanks for any helpBrian
