Hello,

I am searching for a range of indoor router/access points in order to maximize the number of connected clients in a room.
I am beggining this project by myself, and I don't know exactly the budget estimate I will be having, so I will have to give a few options to the staff in order for them to choose.

The traffic, generally, will be very low (So throughput is not a problem). Like ~130 people max. would be in that room (So coverage area is not a problem). Some of them with 2 devices, some of them with no devices. I would say 100 devices can be simultaneously connected, as a rough estimate. Even less, I think.
What solutions would you choose in order for this situation to work?.

I was looking, for example, at the Archer router AC1200. Very cheap, but I doubt that it can handle this number of connections.
I was looking too for the AP500, AC1900. Better, and maybe not that expensive. But I am not finding many shops selling it... Is it discontinued?
Also the Auranet EAP330. A bit expensive. But really, the captive portal is the only difference? I think so... I would be looking too, to the Auranet branch if it proves better, but I think the chips inside are the same as in the TPLink-Home branch.

Thank you for your help!
