Hello!
I just bought a surveillance system, and I wanted to access the DVR with a wireless connection, thus I also bought a tp-link router model TL-WR1043N to use as a bridge to my enabled wireless modem.

Considering that my laptop and printer is able to connect to my modem wirelessly, I thought that making the DVR wireless with the router would do the job.

It possibly can be done but I am so confused now with so much technical terms that I do not know what to do.

Could anyone help.

Resuming, I would like to access the DVR through my laptop.

Thanking you in advance
Baldy

Hi Baldy,

Is the DVR connected to the router with wired or wireless connection? And how do you want to connect the router to your modem? By cable or wifi?

All good Vieldcs! Replaced the router for a Powerline and "voila" problem solved.

Tanking you very much for your kindness to help me.
