Archer VR600 IPSec Problem

Archer VR600 IPSec Problem

I have set up a site to site ipsec vpn using Archer Vr600 on one side and Archer D9 on the other end.
The VPN tunnel establishes fine but I cannot ping any hosts from either side of the tunnel.
If i have a ping going from a host to a host on the other side of the tunnel, I get 2 ping responses immediately after the tunnel is established but after that the ping stops.
I set up a site to site ipsec VPN using the D9 and linux on the other side and this setup works fine.
I thought is that there is a firewall issue that prevents IPsec traffic to flow on Vr600. I am using firmware virsion 0.2.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 170504 Rel.68210n on VR600.
