Using the port beside the router port

This may be a very obvious question, but I haven't seen it answered anywhere. It relates to the TL-PA9020P KIT V2.
When I plug the router cable into the powerline adapter, that leaves one port empty beside where I've plugged the router in. Can I use this free port to connect another nearby PC?
It seems logical that I can - but it also might be that the powerline adapter which has a router attached cannot be used for anything else.
