Hello guys,
Yesterday, by mistake i've installed the latest US firmware Archer C9(US)_V1_180125 for my v1 version.
However now i am unable to change the region and also i am unable to flash to a UN or EU firmware. It shows "Error code: -5533"
Any ideas?
Thanks,

OK I loose a couple of channels but I also gain some on 5hz, and the broadcast wifi strength might be slightly better.
The CPU/Memory monitor has disappeared.
The router now also now uses some of the latest adopted UK 5hz range (band C) see:
http://bowdennetworks.co.uk/downloads/5GHz Spectrum Usage UK - 2017 - v1.pdf
My logfile is now much cleaner also.
If they are not going to issue new firmware for EU C9 V1 routers then for now I am happy to use the US firmware - things like DD-WRT seem to be a bigger risk in terms of reliability and support.
I may have to regress one day if I ever hit the wall on a specific feature (I doubt it - I am a simple user), so I will be keen to hear what you find out. A hardware reset perhaps?
Some more background info on the above here:

Obviously the European LG G3 has not been upgraded to the new UK 5Hz spec and my router is now running on 5hz channels 153+157 by default (you can change this via the router options to one in the UK pre-2017 range if you prefer).
In the LG G3 wifi advanced options I was able change the region code from europe to USA and it now connects to 5hz fine.
I am not expecting any wifi problems when out and about and my phone can now connect to a wider range of signals.
The option is there to choose a UK 5hz channel on the router if you want. I like the benefit of being currently outside the range of all my neighbours and their devices as they are probably all running on the old UK spec.

Hey, generally speaking, the US version is only used for US product.
Therefore, we can't change the region if you install that.
Once we update to US version, we can't update to EU/UN version any more.

The US version of the firmware upgrade probably replaces the Bootloader and locks the router down to meet FCC requirements - so it may not work.
Please note I have not tried the above - and it could brick your router.
If it did not work, then there would probably be a need to re-flash a rom and that is quite difficult (soldering iron etc) or try the US version as recovery.

Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : Just upgrade from "Archer_C9(UN)_V1_160517" to "Archer_C9(US)_v1_180125"
Location: Hong Kong
Same problem: Searching TP-Link Chinese website and got a firmware 180125. After an upgrade, couldn't change the country and many useful functions such as CPU resource, device name, etc are disappear. And throughput performance seems unstable.
The TP-link chinese web site didn't show any warning message on the firmware 180125. Only old version firmware "Archer C9(US)_V1_161008" shows the warning message. It makes me though it is suitable for Hong Kong region.
Pls state what method it can downgrade the firmware and back to Archer_C9(UN)_V1_160517. Or pls state when TP-link can issue a new firmware for UN/EN region.
