Nat Type 3 on PS4 via RE450

Hi, new to this forum.
Recently purchased the RE450 extender as my other Netgear extender seemed to die.
The problem i'm having is i'm unable to connect properly to the PSN or multiplayer games properly and the PS4 is stuck on NAT Type 3. If i connect direct to my router which is downstairs I get NAT Type 2.
My understanding is extenders do no filtering of the network and just route the data through as if it was the same router but this isn't happening. I'm at a loss as to what the issue could be.
Does anyone have a solution?
Also I ca see in the logs that the following is constantly happening:
