Hi,
Got the following problem with my Archer C3150 V2, and that is that I cannot see my 5ghz band. 2,4 ghz works fine and without any problems.
SSID sending is on for both 5 and 2,4 ghz.
I have updated to the newest software version and still the same problem.
Joggled trough the different 5ghz channels and this does not resolve it.
Reset does not work, nether a restart.
Unplugged the device for 5 minutes and started it up, also no result.
So now I don't know it anymore.
Can somebody help?

What device are you using to access the 5GHz wifi signal?
Has that device worked on 5GHz channels in the past?
Perhaps the device doesn't have a 5GHz antenna, eh?
Use a wifi scanner to help select the best channel.
Network Analyzer works well on my Android tablet. hth

@ccnaxpired, thank you for your reply.
I have scanned the netwerk with my MacBook Pro (mid 2015 model) network scanner and I see other 5ghz network but not mine, also used my iPhone 8 and also nothing is visible.
So I don't think it is the receiving device but that the sender is not working properly.
If you have more idea's please let me know, because I don't know it anymore, except that the unit is faulty.
Greetings

I assume you have Enable SSID Broadcast turned on.
On your WIFI device, you may have to re-establish the network by deleting (forget this network) and reenter the userid and password.

Are the encryption settings compatible?
... WPA vs WPA2
Are the modes compatible?
... n/ac mixed vs ac only?
Use the lower 5GHz channels, 36 to 48 (try 40MHz and 80MHz wide).
I'm learning that the inability of the 2015 MBP to connect to 5GHz WiFi seems a persistent issue.
But, that doesn't explain your IPhone 8 not recognizing the 5GHz SSID.
I think I would work on getting the IPhone 8 to connect to the 5GHz first.
Several Amazon reviews of your router are also complaining of WiFi problems.
You should probably contact TP-Link.

Do you have Smart Connect (Advanced>Wireless>Wireless Settings) enabled by chance? If so try disabling it and then setting a different SSID name for your 5Ghz network to differentiate it from the 2.4Ghz band and see if you can then see it.ccnaxpired wrote
