I have an Archer C9 V3.0 router. Firmware is 1.3.1 Build 20171215 rel.35219(5553)

I want to use the print server function.

I plugged in my USB printer (a Brother MFC-8440) into the USB port on the router.

I downloaded, installed, and ran the "USB Printer Controller" software as described in the FAQ article at https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-415.html

The USB Printer Controller program was able to see and connect to my printer.

But when I go to the router's print server configuration page, and click on the switch to turn on the print server, it remains gray.

Is this a bug with the C9 V3.0 ?

Hi Mate,

You can try to log out and login again with a different browser or different device.

If still have problem , please make sure the router is working in router mode, not access point mode, You can also try to check what's the firmware version for your router, if it's not latest , upgrade the firmware .

The problem is the same regardless of which computer or browser I use to connect to the router's configuration page.

This unit is serving as a router, not an access point.

It has the latest firmware for the ArcherC9 v3.0. The firmware is 1.3.1 Build 20171215 rel.35219(5553)

Did you solve the problem?

I have the same issue on Archer C9. Maybe tp-link have some solution for this issue?

Firmware is the newest

Tried on chrome, firefox, edge

Device is in router mode.

Please help. I bought this device for print server.
