Hi all, my deco network is set up as follows:

deco1(in router mode)—deco2—deco3

All are Deco M5. basically a daisy chain setup, currently running wireless backhaul. I understand this slows down clients connected to deco3 significantly.

my question is this: will I see any benefit if i connect deco2 to deco3 via ethernet, with wireless backhaul  between deco1 and deco2? Or is it ‘all or nothing’ with regards to ethernet backhaul?

That's a good idea! If you connect deco2 to deco3 via an Ethernet cable, then the two units will communicate directly via the Ethernet connection.

And clients connected to deco3 will obtain better performance, which is probably the same as deco2's. Just make a try and share your experience!
