Model: TL-MR3420
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm considering buying a used TP-Link MR3420 router, and I have a need for Wake-On-Lan (WOL) to automtically turn on a Ubiquiti Unifi NVR (surveillance camera recorder) whenever the router comes on line. My goal is to turn on the NVR using the Wake-On-Lan feature after a power failure.

I can't find any info about the WOL capabilities of the MR3420 though. Does anyone know if it can be configured to send a WOL on startup (or even better, periodically)?

as far as I know, the WOL or WOWL is related to the network adapter.

You can verify whether the built-in adapter on NVR supports WOL.

I am aware that the receiver needs to have Wake On LAN capability for this to work, and indeed the Ubiquiti NVR does have that.

What I'm asking is - can the router itself send a Wake On LAN message to a client on startup?

Otherwise I would need to arrange for some other client to send it, which would be a bit more hassle.
