In the zip there's the procedure for the Mac version. Scroll down. It shows how to get around the Mac error. Basically right click on the app, show package contents. And within the Mac folder I believe. Run one of the two files. This will open the app along with a terminal window. 

@SoapOpera just try some other unzip program like izip. I had the same problem and that solved it for me.

I got it work but web access is really buggy? may be its just me. and also router rebooted/crashed this morning while i was working from home. Not a good start so far. 

was trying to find why it rebooted in the logs and found this CRITIAL gem..lol. 

crashed one more time today in the middle of streaming movie. 

i give up, this evening it simply refuse to connect to internet. deleted the network, reset deco's, redid the whole thing, still no internet. reconnected my old netgear, network back up in less than 5 mins. 

i was wrong, i should have listened to everyone who warned me of tplink's buggy firmwares. this one is going back to costco. i spent too much time on this already.

I have a question. 

My 3 decos are operating as AP. 

When I'm using wifi analyzer to check the wifi signal strength, it shows my that I'm connecting to the right wifi ssid of course, but it shows me Mac address that does not belong to any of my decos, how can it possible? It's because I'm on 5ghz channel? 2.4 and 5ghz have different Mac address? 

Does anyone have any idea where this Mac address came from?

this is normal 

you probably will notice that you have a few starting with the same 8 to 10 characters  and only the last 2 will change of the MAC address 

so if you have 2 frequencies on all your AP you will have 6 different Mac addresses. If you add another network such as guest for example that would be another 6.
