Hi. So my friend just got a TPLINK Archer AX1500 and he wanted to use the router as a WiFi repeater/extender. Is there a way to configure it? I read that this router does not have WDS Bridge “yet”.

New router from TP Link are not coming with WDS functionality. I had AX3000 and it doesn't have WDS. TP link is removing useful and time tested features lately. TP Link website has router description as well as configuration emulator page for most of their router where we can confirm if a function is available or not before ordering the router, I missed that but later found out about this.
