Model: Deco P7
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

New firmware is out (1.4.2 Build 20200408 Rel. 73944). Unfortunatly they decided to disable ping on WAN, based on some clueless feedback from user.

Modifications and Bug Fixes:
1. Added switch for the UPnP function.
2. Added isolation switch for the main network and guest network in Access Point mode.
3. Disabled ping on WAN port to get rid of security risks.
4. Optimize backhaul information display.
5. Improved system security.

So far it's working great. App interface shows which deco connected to which via PLC. Connection is stable. and the firmware looks polished.

Only stupid & useless change was disabling Ping. It's unbelivable that your engineers listened/belived that disabling Ping would somehow make it more secure. Port 22 is already wide open and accepts connections from WAN for gods sake.

There is a option in web interface (System Parameters) that lets enabling IGMP. This firmware is perfect!

@levo How does enabling IGMP solve the Ping problem?
