Very hard TP-Link TL-WPA4220 Kit gateway/routing issue
Hello from Italy!
I have a big issue using TP-Link TL-WPA4220 Kit + TP-Link TL-WPA4220 Powerline extender, I use them in a domestic LAN scenario:
-
Modem Router provided by Service provider (4 ethernet port + wifi 2.4/5 GHz on a unique SSID)
-
TP-Link TL-SG1024 Switch 24 ports connected to the modem/router via cable
-
TP-Link TL-WPA4220 Kit connected with the cable to the router
-
the 2 TP-Link TL-WPA4220 powerline extenders connected to the AC and paired with the kit on the ground floor and first floor
-
With WPS button on the router and the one on both extenders I replicated the SSID on them having then a seamless experience in the whole house
-
the modem/router has IP 192.168.1.1 and the extenders get IPs on the same subnet (192.168.1.25 and 192.168.1.101)
I hope the scenario is clear.
Now the issue part. Since a couple of months every 2 weeks more or less I have weird behavior, some of Wi-fi connected devices stop to obtain dynamically the IP from the DHCP server on the router (192.168.1.1) and start to get from one the extender, so I have the following scenario: device connected to the correct SSID Wifi (the only one I have) but the gateway IP is not the DHCP server from the router but the extender one (192.168.1.25 or 192.168.1.101 it depends on the proximity).
For the time being the only way to fix this is to fully reset the TP-Link kit and extender to factory default configurations and setup them once again. Another fix could be to configure different SSIDs for each extender but I'm afraid to lose the seamless experience. Any advice or help or a similar issue?
many thanks in advance!
