Hi, 

After months of using the device I found out that my router disconnects exactly every 6 hours.
At first I thought it was a network problem, but the exact 6 hours at the same minute (11) make me think it is a router configuration or a cronjob.

Is there an option or configuration to disable this forced disconnect?

There is a cron?

 

Using it for work in VPN and for playing online games these disconnections are really frustrating!

@Chalda   maybe it s not the modem, but your operator that has this limit.

After having this exact problem and scrolling past many frustratingly similar comments... I've followed the consensus and have ordered a replacement router from a different manufacturer! But while I'm waiting for that to arrive I came across a "fix" which seems to have stopped this issue for me.

 

It came from this thread - https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/176312?page=12 - "Enabling IGMP Snooping in the Advanced tab under Network/LAN Settings seems to have solved the issue". I have done this and it does seem to have stopped the constant dropping of connection.

 

Another "fix" that was suggested was to Turn off the "smart connect" (I haven't done this and mined is behaving so maybe try the above first).
