ISP Username/password problems

ISP : Plusnet
After having worked OK for several months suddenly disconnected from the internet.
I have tried various formats for "username" including the my actual Plusnet username, my full email address, and the one mentioned by Plusnet (username followed by "@plusdsl.net"). none of them work. The VPI VCI are as shown by Plusnet. Any ideas? I am currently using my old router and I therefore know that the password is correct.
