Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n

My ISP is Jio and Airtel. Both of them have IPv6 enabled on their LTE network.

In APN settings, I have selected IPv4 & IPv6. The router itself gets IPv6 address from my ISPs. All the devices connected to the MR600 router get IPv6 address and yet I can't ping any IPv6 address on the internet.

This is absolutely critical for me and I would like to know a way to resolve this issue. If it is a bug in the existing firmware, Please release a update to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thanks.

If I try to ping any IPv6 address other than the IPv6 address of MR600 Router, I just get a "Network is unreachable error".

Please let me know if you need any other information to debug this issue and let me know if at all you'll be willing to fix this issue.

Setting it to IPv6 only in APN settings resolves this issue and IPv6 works perfectly but doing so means, I won't have IPv4 access. Switching it back to IPv6 & IPv4 from IPv6 only brings the issue back and I can't reach IPv6 addresses on the internet.

@ishanjain28

Good day.

Sorry for the delay.

In case I misunderstood the issue, could you please help me check the following details:

The devices connected behind the MR600 could get IPV6 address and internet is also working on them;

 But they could not ping each other?

And when setting to IPv6 only, the issue could be temporally fixed?

Thank you very much.

@Sunshine

> The devices connected behind the MR600 could get IPV6 address and internet is also working on them;

Yes, Some devices are able to get a IPv6 address, Some devices aren't getting a IPv6 address. All of them connected over 5ghz wifi to the router.

>  But they could not ping each other?

All the devices connected to the MR600 router can ping each other. That's not the problem.

> And when setting to IPv6 only, the issue could be temporally fixed?

If I set APN to IPv6 only, that fixes the IPv6 problem but I can't access anything over IPv4 then.

The issue here is, When APN is set to IPV4 & IPv6(On Airtel, Jio and Vi(vodafone/Idea)) some devices get IPv6 address, some devices don't get an IPv6 address. The devices which do get an IPv6 address can not reach any outside servers/websites over IPv6. If I try to open a website like ipv6.rys.pw which is only accessible if you have a working IPv6 connection, It fails to open.

If I set APN to IPv4, No devices get an IPv6 address and IPv6 doesn't works. This is expected.

If I set APN to IPv6, All devices get an IPv6 address and IPv6 works perfectly fine. This is also expected.

If I set APN to IPv4 & IPv6, All devices get IPv4 addresses and IPv4 works perfectly fine. But only some random devices get IPv6 address and IPv6 doesn't works on any of them(even the devices that did got a IPv6 address) since I can't reach any website or servers over IPv6.

IPv6 on VI is still an issue on the MR600. On Vodafone Idea (Vi), if APN is set to IPv4 & IPv6, then DNS does not work on all websites. APN set to IPv4 works ok for all devices. On Jio, APN set to IPv4 & IPv6 works ok, all websites accessible.
