Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n

Hi all,

First time posting but must say Ive been impressed by the knowledge, so hoping for some help. I have tried tech support, but that wasnt useful.

I am looking to configure my MR600 with ethernet WAN as primary and 4G WAN as backup in event of failure. Unless I have been searching poorly, for some reason this doesnt seem like a popular topic.

I have, I think, worked out how to do this but I am not clear how I configure the failure scenario. The V2 manual refers to something called "Offline Detection" but I cannot find it in the V1 manual, nor in my device settings.

Is this one of the few differences between V1 and V2? As I have only just made the purchase, should I send it back and be sure to get V2?

I did try to determine the differences before I made the purchase but couldnt find any information.

So, my two questions please:

1) How do I configure failover condition?

2) What are the differences between v1 and V2?

Thanks v much!

@Ivaylo

Yes, thanks, I see that. It's the offline detection set up I need help with - in other words the condition that triggers the failover.

@HenryB

Check this reference for configuring that feature.

@Ivaylo unfortunately that article only goes as far as turning the failover on. It doesnt cover configuring the offline detection to trigger failover.
