Archer C6 limits speed to 10mbps, while the available speed is 100mbps from the provider
- Provider: ACT
- After connecting to Archer C6, that I purchased 3 days back, speed is showing 10mbps on mobile/laptop both connected wirelessly, both in 5GHz, 2.4GHz.
- Speed validated to be 100mbps by connecting my laptop directly to the cable.
- Tried to alter the setting of Duplex from Auto negotiation to 100mbps, 1000mbps separately - but things didn't improve.
- Here is the screen shot for 10mbps limit.

Altering Duplex settings won't help you, because they affect only wired connections (cable connections), but your issue is with Wi-Fi connections as you stated. On the other hand, I can see that your wireless association speed is 292.5 mbps. So, there shouldn't be a speed problem with Wi-Fi either. Do you have the Smart Connect feature enabled. If yes then disable that and test again on 5GHz band.

@Ivaylo , thank you for responding.
Yes, smart connect has been disabled & I tested on both 2.4, 5 GHz separately. Please let me know what needs to be done to get rid of this problem. I purchased this only to get more speed compared to my old TPLink router.

Try these settings for both bands and see if that makes any difference:
The other thing you could do is to update your wireless adapter driver to the latest available.

Have you recently updated the router's FW ? If yes, then hard reset - (Method 1) and re-configure from scratch.

I have not updated the router. In fact, it is not showing any updates - came with recent updated version.
Do you still recommend the hard reset ?

Just finished hard reset and tested again keeping all defaults as they are. Not even changed the SSID or password. Still not resolved. Pasted both default settings, speed test results. Please take a look and let me know.
