Well, it was worth a try.

Can you confirm - are you using wireless security:WPA2-PSK with Encryption:AES for both wireless bands ?

If not set these as well. Reboot the router, so your devices can connect with updated settings.

If your WAN/Internet port receives its DNS settings dynamically (Connection type:Dynamic) can you set these static for ex. Primary DNS Server:8.8.8.8 and Secondary DNS Server:1.1.1.1 and test.

I nothing of these help then you should wait for the TP-Link support to intervene.

I just noticed that the internet led is orange (this is since the last update to the uk version of 1.3.6 firmware).

Internet however works fine (when it eventually gives an ip).

Also, under wireless clients etc it shows zero (even though there are connected clients).

just what on earth is going on with this device????

I've seen that before, after upgrading to 1.3.6.

Hard reset (Method 1) the C6 and re-configure from scratch, this should help.

Use the cabling from my initial post (Internet/"blue port" from C6 to your main router/modem).

@brainii

Do you use the blue/Internet port for connecting to your ISP device ?

How about wireless clients - does it show their number on a Status page ?

The exclamation mark means 'Poor network'. How's your internet connectivity, is the speed normal ?

That's probably a FW issue, FW 1.3.5 displays the wireless clients number for sure.

@Ivaylo my internet is rock stable, 100mbs connection with 20mbs upload.

I've already tested that beta firmware, it didnt solve my main problem.

It's a shame really that the actual hardware of this device is good (because when it does work, reception and speed is good), but it's let down by firmware.

I'm looking online to buy a different router.

thanks for the help
