Firmware Version:

I am having problems with broadband reliability and want to use Thinkbroadband.com's Broadband Quality Monitor.

This (free) service pings the router and shows a graph for the duration of the test.

It requires the router to have a setting such as "WAN Ping" or similar or it could probably say 'ping' but may refer to 'icmp echo'.

Does the M5 support this and, if so, how do I set this as I can't find any reference to anything that looks like this setting?

ALternatively, any suggestions on how to continuously monitor my broadband to check it's reliability - I'm fed up with seeing the red LED on the top of my M5s.

Thanks

Hi I'd also like some help with this. I'm with Virgin Media in the UK and I experience dropouts - and would like to have evidence of this using BQMs

@RCully

RM21, I'm on an iMac and have now started using Network Logger Pro which permanently monitors my internet connection.  If there is a drop out, this picks it up.  Also, when reporting to my ISP, they seem to accept the results from this app - which is a good thing.

It's £9.99 but I've found it well worth it - but I'm not sure if it runs on Windows (if that's what you have).

Cheers
