Archer T3u keeps disconnecting

Archer T3u keeps disconnecting
Title is pretty self explanatory, I've reinstalled drivers from the accompanying CD. I am running Windows 10. Tried on both 2.4ghz and 5gHz bands and still have the same issue. Thought it was a issue with my USB ports which could still be the case as when I tether my phone to the usb port I occasionally get issues, but not nearly as often as with the Archer. I get the same issue whether I use any of the ports on the front of my PC, be it USB 3.0 or USB 2.0.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Happy to give any details on my PC specs etc.
