tp link av1000 tl-pa7017 - less than 100mbs

Today I've purchased the TL-PA7017-KIT powerline adapters in hopes of getting the full internet speed (of 1,000mbs) that I currently have in my living room.
With the adapters I'm getting 20mbs of download speed, 20mb of upload speed.
I'd love an explanation
