Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.7.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 210313 Rel.74106n

After updating the Archer VR2800 Firmware (Archer VR2800(EU)_V1_210313 ) my system logs have been flooded with the following:

2021-06-02 05:52:01 [6] Httpd: NCSI response check succeed.

2021-06-02 05:53:01 [6] Httpd: DNS 212.159.6.10 resolve succeed for dns.msftncsi.com
2021-06-02 05:53:01 [6] Httpd: DNS 212.159.6.10 resolve succeed for www.msftncsi.com

2021-06-02 05:53:31 [6] Httpd: DNS 212.159.6.10 resolve succeed for dns.msftncsi.com
2021-06-02 05:53:31 [6] Httpd: DNS 212.159.6.10 resolve succeed for www.msftncsi.com
2021-06-02 05:53:31 [6] Httpd: NCSI response check succeed.

It keeps repeating every 30 seconds. My system logs are full of this useless information.

It occurs even when NO devices are attached to the router and no devices are connected via wifi.

I tried changing the primary and secondary DNS (Router Admin GUI - Advanced - Network - LAN Settings - DHCP) to Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but the issue remains.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so has anyone found a solution.

@Kaizerbo

I have found some other issues with this firmware since I updated it.

Interface Grouping Missing

Interface Grouping no longer appears in Advanced > Network > Interface Grouping. Option and configuration now missing.

Device Names Empty (Missing)

Device names were empty/missing from Advanced > Security > Access Control. Had to manually re-enter every device name.

I was advised by TP-Link Support to downgrade my firmware but when I tried to I received the following error:

Error Code 4503 - Uploaded file was not accepted.

I am beginning to wonder what other errors are lurking beneath the surface which I have not yet uncovered.

The version you have in use has been withdrawn for different problems of operation, and remaining (but perhaps by mistake!) Only on the Australian site and UK ... do exactly what the support recommended, that is the DOWgrade to a previous version in Waiting that in a few years settle the problem ... (in Italy we are in beta from 2019 even if the apparatus and ended up) (out of production! Stuff laughing.)
