Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version:

I recently changed my ISP and have a new router. I have tried a hard reset on the wireless adapter and have also connected it directly to the new router via Ethernet. Yet when I try to connect it still shows the name of my old router and will not accept the password of the new one.

how can I get it to recognise my new router

@Poodle

Reset the extender to factory defaults:

Then go to Chapter 2 of your user guide to reconfigure the extender from scratch, connecting it to the new router.

Ethernet port is used when you configure the device in AP mode or as a wireless adapter.
