Different public IP address
Hi,
I am using Archer C6, the public IP address on my C6 is let's say 10.205.60.xxx, but when I use whatismyipaddress(dot)com, it showed my IP is 116.110.43.xxx. So, why is there different between my public IP on C6 and this website?
Do you know how to fix this?
Thanks.
Tuxedo.

10.205.60.xxx is not a public but private IP address, hence the difference with whatismyipaddress(dot)com.
Most probably you have an ISP modem/router before C6, which is NAT-ting and that's the reason for having this 10.205.60.xxx IP address on your C6 Internet port.

Then it's weird. I use CloudFlare to regater my domain. I update an entry in domain setting which point the domain to this 10.205.60.xxx, then it works, I mean, I can connect from outside to my internal network. However, with the IP from whatismyipaddress(dot)com is inaccessdible. Beside, I don't think this is internal IP. My internal IP is 192.168.xxx.xxx. You can check from the below picture.

Do you have the make and model of that media converter ?
It's possible that your ISP gives you the private IP address through this media converter.
Why don't you contact and ask them if that's the case.

I think I can understand that 10.205.60.xxx is not the public IP, but it's WAN IP. So, you're right, the public IP should be the one showed on what is my ip address. So, how to link up this WAN IP and the public IP? Do you have any idea?
Thanks.
