Customize Voice Notify For Record

Hi, I have a problem with my new VG3631.
It all works perfectly, but I can not figure out how to register my custom message for the mailbox.
The manual says:
Customize Voice Notify For Record: Check the box to enable voice notification customization. To record your own voice notification, press “*30” after picking up your phone set.
But what does that mean? I tried to pick up the phone and press * 30, then call, but nothing happens.
