Hi,

There is an issue regarding our Deco Mesh Wifi.

Our main deco is connected via ethernet to our main router and doing a speed test on it on our phones via deco app or ookla speed test (5G) it can go up to 500Mbps.
Another slave deco is connected via ethernet cable to our main deco so we can have a more stable internet but the issue is not the speed but rather the stability of the wifi.
If tested on our pc connected via wifi using TP-link archer T3u mini or even other dongle our internet have sudden dips.

An example of this is,

When we start speed testing via ookla speed test the internet will go up to 100, 120, 160Mbps then suddenly there are speed where the reading stops,
it can stop suddenly at 160 (not reading even just stop) Then suddenly it will continue to a lower speed climbing up at around 90Mbps.

In the picture below we can see below the .85 in the download speed the blue line suddenly drops.

Hi this is also to follow up so it can give you a better view on our speed test disconnection and stability.

@cawfee

This is most likely an issue with "TP-link archer T3u mini" and other USB WiFi dongle(s) you are trying.

See if one or both of these two things could help:

1. In Deco app, open Deco node page to which that PC is connected, and turn off Mesh toggle for that PC only. Run speed test and see if issue is gone.

2. Turn off Dual Band (band steering) in Deco mesh. Here is a screenshot of my Deco app settings, where Main Network is 5GHz only, Guest Network is 2.4GHz only. See if ping spike goes away when PC is connected to just 5GHz WiFi, or to just 2.4GHz WiFi.

Run speed test with PC connected to Main Network, then with PC connected to Guest Network. Keep Mesh toggle off.

If that does not help, consider getting WiFi card for PC. I understand it may not be what you want to hear, and that requires a bit of advanced computer hardware knowledge to select the right PC card for your specific computer, but if nothing helps that's the only option left.

Unless you plan to replace PC soon or could wire it to the Deco, either by Ethernet cable, or by powerine adapters, or by Internet over TV cable (MoCA) adapters.
