Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 201122 Rel.66972n

Hi,

I`m new to this Forum and hoping someboday can help. I`m not bad with tech but can`t understand this? yes

Just recently my ADSL Internet stopped working, I`m with Plusnet. On my router the only lights showing were the power and wireless light. I checked all the lines, filters and plugging into the master socket but no joy, also reset the Router and input the settings again but still the same issue. I came to the conclusion it must an issue outside the house with the line or it was something to do with my Router. As it happed I had a spare new Router in my cupboard being the Archer VR600 so rigged that up.

As it`s a new Router I installed the latest Firmware also whilst setting it up with these settings using the wizard:-

Username

Password

VPI = 0

VCI = 38

PPPoA

After doing all these settings and saving them I had the same exact issue with this Router as I did the previous, just a power light and wireless light, grrrrr!. Time to call Plusnet. So I spoke to an agent of Plusnet about my problem and she went on to explain that being it`s a 3rd party Router and not one of their own she was unable to give me much support. She told me to speak with TP-Link directly about the issue as it`s something to do with my Router settings. She specifically told me it`s to do with the PPP session being down although the line is in sync. I came off the blower and waited a couple more days but no change. Spoke to Plusnet again and now have a Plusnet Hub One Router on it`s way to me.

The following day I noticed the Router light up like a Xmas tree, the DSL light came on followed by the Internet light, the Internet was back! yay!! get in! but wait a minute, a new problem. The Internet can be working fine for several hours and suddenly disconnect for anything from 20mins to over an hour and then come back again. It`s been doing this for days now, on/off all the time, driving me crazy!

So I noticed the Router records a log of it`s events. I saved the log and this is what i`m getting -

This means nothing to me, just as well look at Chinese writing. Can anyone see anything blatantly obvious here as to why I am having problems?

Thanks for just reading all this, let alone any support to help me... wink
