Hi,

Ive run into a very peculiar issue for the past 5 days. My internet has been disconnecting very frequently for sometime and I was very disturbed by it. I talked to my ISP and they said that my router was restarting as they saw my PPPoE ID getting reconnected 10-15 times in a day. I investigated and found there was no power issue but the router was disconnecting PPPoE own its own and reconnecting immediately. I thought it to be a layer-1 issue but I replaced this router with a 840n-V6 and on the same wire and on the same PPPoE ID, there was no disruption and the internet stayed connected for complete 24 hours. Hence this was verified that this is not an ISP issue. I told my ISP and requested some assistance from them in order to diagnose what was causing the router to disconnect itself and they checked their RADIUS logs and found that the my ID was getting DC with the message of user-request meaning my router was itself disconnecting the PPPoE. Connectivity has been verified and found to be ok since on the same line, the testing 840n V6 had no issues and was working perfectly fine. Please help me out in this.
